What does happen during the family risk appointment?

Despite being about familial risk, the appointment at the genetic clinic is an individual consultation for whoever asked for it, whether the person is healthy or ill.

The appointment is done by stages, and through each of them the familial cancer risk and the person’s risk, is further understood.

If, at any point in the process, the doctor concludes that your cancer risk is not superior to that of the average population, you will be sent back to your family doctor.
